FAQ

Questions, answered gently

Before your first visit

How do I choose what to book?

You only need to choose your time: 60 or 90 minutes. Every session is customized, so Ginny will tailor the focus to what your body needs during your consultation. If you’re unsure, 90 minutes gives you the most room for whole-body care.

What happens at the consultation?

Every session starts with a face-to-face conversation. Ginny will review your health history, ask what you’re feeling and what you’d like to leave with, and explain her plan for your session. The consultation happens in addition to your booked time, so your hands-on session is never shortened.

Do I need to fill out an intake form?

Yes. New clients complete an intake form before their first visit, so Ginny can prepare and you can spend your time on what matters.

What should I wear?

It depends on your session. For massage and lymphatic work, you’ll be partially clothed: undress only to your comfort level, and you’ll be draped at all times. For yoga therapy and energy healing, wear comfortable yoga clothes or everyday clothing. Pelvic floor support is always external and fully clothed.

What if I’ve never tried energy healing or somatic work?

You’re in good company; many clients haven’t. Healing Touch and Reiki use light, intentional touch, or hands held just above the body, while you rest fully clothed. Most people simply feel deeply relaxed. There’s nothing you need to believe or do except settle in, and you can always ask Ginny to explain anything as you go.

Is bodywork safe after surgery or cancer treatment?

Often, yes, and it can be a gentle, supportive part of recovery. Ginny reviews every client’s health history at intake and during your consultation. Depending on what you share, such as the type of surgery, where you are in treatment or your risk of lymphedema, she may recommend or require clearance from your physician before your session. Please share your history openly so she can care for you safely.

Do you offer pelvic floor therapy?

Yes. Ginny offers gentle, external pelvic floor therapy as part of the Maternal Sanctuary focus, always fully clothed. She does not provide internal pelvic floor therapy; if your needs call for it, she may suggest seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist as well.

Payment and policies

Can I use my HSA or FSA card?

Yes, HSA and FSA cards are accepted when you book and pay online through MassageBook.

Do you bill insurance?

Root Heal Flourish doesn’t bill insurance directly. Many clients use their HSA or FSA card instead.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full session price.

Sessions and locations

How do virtual and distance sessions work?

Virtual Wellness Sessions take place by video and can include yoga therapy, a holistic health consultation, Reiki or Healing Touch. For Distance Energy Healing, Ginny connects with you by phone at the start and end, and the healing work happens in between while you rest comfortably at home. Both are booked online, just like in-studio sessions.

Can I bring my child for a session?

Pediatric sessions for clients’ children are available by request. Text Ginny at (217) 821-5733 to arrange.

Where are you located?

Root Heal Flourish is a private studio in Jefferson City, Missouri. Your exact address is included in your booking confirmation. Ginny also hosts traveling weekends in Columbia and Effingham, Illinois, and offers virtual sessions anywhere.

When are you open?

In-studio sessions are available Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9 AM to 4 PM. See current openings on the booking page.
